A counselor at Moore Public Schools resigned after allegedly bringing a registered sex offender to visit his elementary school, district leaders said.

MPS said counselor Candace Western invited Missouri-enrolled Jeffrey Mobley to Sky Ranch Elementary School.

The school announced that Western was immediately suspended after learning of the allegations, and Western later decided to resign.

The district said Mobley was not alone with any Sky Ranch students during his visit.

News 9 is working to learn more about Mobley’s prior conviction and possible sentence.

There is no information about which institution could investigate these allegations.
