Writer and Editor-in-Chief Dean DeBlois will debut a new original in DreamWorks Animation’s 2010 lineup of animated films, debuting on Kinos on June 12, 2025. The new version will star Mason Thames as Hicks and Nico Parker as Astrid. Starring Gerard Butler, Nick Frost, Julian Dennison, Gabriel Howell, Bronwyn James, Harry Trevaldwyn, Ruth Codd, Peter Serafinowicz and Murray McArthur.
