A teenager died and another suffered minor injuries in a hit-and-run crash Tuesday night.

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – The Lubbock Police Department is investigating a hit-and-run that left one person dead and another with moderate injuries Tuesday night.

Just before 7:30 p.m., officers responded to an injury crash in the 4000 block of Idalou Rd.

Police said two pedestrians, 18-year-old Zakeria Bol and 18-year-old Benjamin Brown, were walking northeast on the access road when they were struck by an unknown vehicle. Investigators said the vehicle left the scene.

Brown was taken to UMC for treatment of his injuries. Bol died at the scene of the accident.

The investigation continues.
