An Albany woman was convicted Wednesday of stabbing to death a 58-year-old man.

Kyisha Smith, 42, was found guilty of second-degree murder following a jury trial in Albany District Court.

Smith stabbed James West on May 12, 2023, at a high-rise apartment on South Pearl Street. West was found stabbed in the neck. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Prosecutors said Smith and West had a domestic relationship.

His sentence is scheduled to be announced on January 16, 2025. He faces 25 years to life in prison.
