Welfare check leads to drug arrest

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky. (KFVS) – A welfare check leads to a drug arrest in McCracken County.

Deputies were called to the 11000 block of Blandville Road just before 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 19, after a woman in a company vehicle refused to get out after being fired.

According to the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office, deputies found 34-year-old Stormie Logsdon in the driver’s seat of a company vehicle.

Deputies said Logsdon refused to exit the vehicle or return his company phone.

He was later taken out of the vehicle by deputies and taken into custody.

During the search, deputies said they found a plastic baggie with traces of methamphetamine in Logsdon’s jacket pocket.

Logsdon was booked into the McCracken County Regional Jail and charged with resisting arrest, second-degree disorderly conduct, public intoxication, first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and possession of drug paraphernalia.
