Vomiting in dogs is very common and can be a sign of anything from mild to serious. Some dogs vomit once and seem fine afterwards, while others vomit regularly. Some dogs are fine all their lives and then get really sick from vomiting. The consistency and content of the vomit, as well as other symptoms your pet experiences, may be clues to what’s causing it.

I have been a veterinarian for over eight years and during that time I have seen hundreds of cases of dogs vomiting. While some may have eaten something they shouldn’t have and recovered enough to rain within a day or two, for others it’s the first sign that something more serious is happening.
