Gloucester man arrested after burning fireworks thrown at house

Two people were arrested after a person was beaten and fireworks were thrown at his house.

Police said the incident occurred at an address in the Coney Hill area shortly after 22:00 GMT on October 31.

A group of men armed with baseball bats were seen throwing fireworks into a home’s mailbox, yelling at the occupant and punching him in the face, then throwing lit fireworks through their window and fleeing the scene.

Two men, aged 26 and 28, from Gloucester, were arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary.
