Two Metropolitan Police officers are under criminal investigation after a pregnant woman and her baby died in a collision with an unmarked police car in south-east London.

The 38-year-old woman, who was in the last stages of her pregnancy, was driving a car on Kidbrooke Park Road in Eltham on October 17 when she was struck by an unmarked police car.

The crash occurred while officers in two police cars were responding to an unrelated incident.

Police watchdog IOPC said the officers were under investigation for possible driving offences.
