Natalie Potts injured knee in win over Nebraska

The Nebraska women’s basketball team improved to 5-0 this season by beating North Alabama 85-48 on Tuesday at Pinnacle Bank Arena.

The win was stifled by an injury to sophomore forward Natalie Potts.

With five minutes left in the second quarter, Potts fell to the ground while on defense with what appeared to be a non-contact injury and immediately grabbed his knee and screamed in pain. About a minute later, he was taken directly to the locker room as his teammates quickly gathered.

Potts had a great start to the season, averaging 17 points and 8 rebounds and shooting 69%. He was the Big Ten freshman of the year last season.

After halftime, Potts returned to the bench with his teammates. He sat right behind the bench and applauded his teammates. Potts then went back to the locker room with the medical staff.
