Former Madisonville parents club president charged with embezzlement

MADISONVILLE, LA. (WGNO) — Criminal charges have been filed against a Covington woman who was formerly president of a Madisonville parents club. He was arrested in June for allegedly embezzling thousands of dollars.

Old St. John Parish MP charged with smuggling contraband into jail

Heather Long, 35, was charged with alleged theft valued at more than $25,000, according to the 22nd Judicial District Attorney’s Office. He is accused of embezzling money from the Parent Club of Lake Castle Mandeville Private School between May 2022 and February 2024.

He was arrested on June 18 and initially charged with passing over $60,000 between August 2022 and December 2023.
