NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – A duo was taken into custody Tuesday after officers found a porch covered in blood in Bordeaux, according to the Metro Nashville Police Department.

MNPD reports an apparent shooting occurred around 11 a.m. on Snell Boulevard.

Initially, officers responded to reports of shots fired in the area and upon arrival found the front porch of a home covered in blood; This was an indication that a shooting had occurred.

About 15 minutes after the initial 911 call, a man arrived at Tri Star Centennial Medical Center with a gunshot wound. He is being treated but his condition is unknown.

A short time later, the woman, who took the victim to the hospital in a private vehicle, returned to the scene of the first armed attack. He was taken into custody for questioning along with another man who was in the house.

MNPD said the man is believed to have shot himself on the porch, but the motive is under investigation.
