    Police say couple accused of stabbing man at MOD Pizza in Norfolk

    NORFOLK, Va. — A man is in the hospital after being stabbed at MOD Pizza Sunday afternoon, according to Norfolk police.

    According to NFD, the stabbing happened at 1541 Premium Outlets Boulevard. Police responded to a report of a stabbing at MOD Pizza just before 2:30 p.m. When they arrived, they found a 24-year-old man with multiple stab wounds.

    He was taken to the hospital for treatment and his injuries are currently considered non-life-threatening, according to the Norfolk Police Department.

    Police charged two people in connection with the incident. Catherine N. Harper, 45, of Chesapeake, for malicious wounding and Corey T. Harper, 47, of Chesapeake, for malicious wounding and brandishing a firearm. Police confirm to News 3 the Harpers are married.

    Both are being held without bail in the Norfolk County Jail.

    MOD Pizza shared the following statement to News 3 regarding the incident:

    “We were horrified to learn of an altercation involving one of our employees and two guests at our Lake Wright restaurant in Norfolk. The altercation resulted in one of our MOD team members being hospitalized and one of the guests being arrested. Please understand this is an active investigation and we are cooperating with local police. While our team member is recovering in the hospital , we do due diligence and will make a well-considered decision on this situation escalates conflicts, whether initiated by a guest or a team member.
