LORAINOhio (WJW) — The main branch of the Lorain Public Library was the scene of an apparent stabbing Monday afternoon.

US Marshals: Fugitive killed, SWAT officer injured in hotel shootout

According to a statement from Lorain Police, officers responded to 351 W. 6th St. just after 2 p.m. on a report of an assault. He was called to the library at.

When police teams arrived at the scene, they saw two people involved in a fight. One of the men was bleeding heavily from a stab wound. A library security guard was restraining the other man, who was taken into custody and placed in a patrol vehicle.

Officers then administered first aid to the injured man until Lifecare EMS arrived. The condition of the person who was hospitalized for treatment is currently unknown.

According to the police, a criminal complaint is expected to be filed against the detained person.
