LORAIN, Ohio — One person was injured and a suspect was taken into custody following a stabbing at the Lorain Public Library’s main branch Monday afternoon.

According to police, officers responded to 351 W. Sixth St. just after 2 p.m. He was called to the main branch at. When they arrived, officers found one male bleeding heavily and another male being restrained by a library security guard.

No details have been released about what may have led to the stabbing. Police reported that the incident is under investigation and a criminal complaint is expected to be filed against the suspect.

The injured male was taken to Mercy Health Hospital in Lorain. No information was available regarding his condition.
