TABOR CITY, NC (WWAY) — One person has been arrested and is facing charges following a weekend incident near Tabor City.

deputies, according to the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office. Around 10 p.m. Sunday night, Clyde responded to a call of an argument and shots fired in the 1300 block of Norris Road.

When deputies arrived, they found approximately ten people involved in a heated argument. The report states that 24-year-old Jolene Johnson was detained because she did not listen to deputies who were trying to calm the situation.

After interviews with witnesses, it was revealed that the argument was continuing from an earlier fight at 1800 Shug Norris Road, also near Tabor City.

During the earlier confrontation, one of the men allegedly shot at a vehicle driven by someone trying to leave the scene on Shug Norris Road.

The report alleged that Jolene Johnson followed the person in the vehicle to Clyde Norris Road, where the confrontation continued.

Johnson was charged with Resisting, Delaying, or Obstructing a Public Officer.

Investigators are also trying to file charges against the man accused of opening fire on an occupied vehicle.
