Man who threatened group with AR-15 rifle in Lancaster County arrested, deputies say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – A 23-year-old man was taken into custody Saturday evening for allegedly threatening a group of people with an AR-15 at a home in southeast Lancaster County.

Deputies responded to a call near Walton where a witness reported Jacob Bremer using a firearm to intimidate others. The rifle had already been taken from him when deputies arrived.

Authorities are still investigating how the encounter began and whether the gun was loaded. Deputies believe alcohol may have been a contributing factor.

Bremer was booked into the Lancaster County Adult Detention Facility on suspicion of using a deadly weapon to commit a felony and making terroristic threats.
