HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – A. Harris County Officer K9 captured a suspect who attempted to flee on foot following a police chase in a stolen car.

Jacob San Miguel, 18, is charged with motor vehicle eluding and motor vehicle theft.

Precinct 4 Officer Mark Herman said deputies attempted to stop a stolen vehicle on Spring Stuebner Road just before 2 a.m. Saturday morning.

The driver, later identified as San Miguel, refused to stop and led deputies on a chase.

According to the police officer, the stolen car crashed into another vehicle and then tried to flee the scene.

Officers surrounded San Miguel.

Officer K9 Lanzo was able to locate the suspect.

San Miguel had two open arrest warrants in Harris County for attempted burglary and unlawful carrying of a weapon, law enforcement officials said.

His bond for the new charges was set at $2,000.
