Humboldt church opens its doors for free Gospel concert

HUMBOLDT, Tenn. — Sugar Creek Church in Humboldt hosted a gospel concert featuring the Sonshiners Community Choir and the renowned Gaither Vocal Group Pianist.

The Sonshiners Community Choir is a group of older adults who come together for worship.

Their mission is to spread the light of Christ.

This concert is just one stop on the map for Gaither vocal group pianist Matthew Holt.

He is a member of the Gaither musical group, known for its award-winning and best-selling recordings worldwide, including the Gaither Gospel series, of which 133 titles have been certified gold, platinum or multi-platinum.

“Tonight is my first time playing for the band Sonshiners,” Holt said. “We’re getting together this afternoon for a little rehearsal and it’s going to be a lot of fun. These folks can sing, hear me. The older adults are all singing together, thanking God, and it’s going to be a good night.”

This event was free for the community to enjoy a great night of gospel music.
