A. California Police say the man killed his mother at a home in Vallejo and then went to the hospital and stabbed his wife before turning the knife on himself.

Vallejo police said: Press release said officers responded to Kaiser Permanente hospital for a stabbing around 8:43 a.m. Saturday. When they arrived, medical personnel were treating two people: a man later identified as 63-year-old Frank James McMillan and his wife, both suffering from stab wounds. Police determined that McMillan first stabbed his wife at least once and then stabbed himself. Doctors immediately took both victims into surgery. They are expected to survive.

Police said when McMillan woke up after surgery, he “spontaneously admitted” to killing his mother at a home in the 100 block of Campbell Avenue in Vallejo, part of the San Francisco Bay Area, before the hospital stabbing. Patrol teams performed a health check at home. When no one answered, officers forced their way in and found McMillan’s mother dead inside. The press release did not say how he died. His name is being kept secret until his relatives are notified.

McMillan faces murder And attempted murder accusations. After leaving the hospital, he will be taken to prison.

Police have not publicly disclosed the reason for McMillan’s alleged crime spree.
