HOUSTON – A man is on the run Monday morning after police say he shot a couple during a robbery. Rice Village. Two of them are currently in the hospital.

It all happened around 1 a.m. behind a hair salon on Sunset Boulevard near Kirby Drive, where the couple’s car was parked, and police believe the robber was following them.

Everything was caught on camera; One of the security videos shows a white car entering the parking lot.

Investigators said the friends dropped off the unidentified man and woman in their car parked behind the hair salon.

Later, another video shows another car following behind and stopping in the street. Then a man who appears to be wearing a hoodie jumps out and runs in the same direction. The car is waiting and a few minutes later, you see that guy running and jumping back into that car as it speeds away.

Police said the masked man robbed the couple and at one point shot them both in the stomach.

“It appears they were followed, robbed in the back of the business, and shot in the abdomen,” Lt. Gutierrez said. Houston Police Department in question.

They were rushed to the hospital; The woman is in critical condition and the man is in stable condition. The robber was said to have made off with a watch and perhaps some jewellery.
