It wasn’t until Reinhart looked at the ingredient list that she realized some of the more expensive products weren’t actually great. “I felt pretty betrayed,” he says. That’s when she decided to create Personal Day with an advisory board of dermatologists and estheticians.

The brand, which launched on October 28, includes five products that Reinhart uses in her daily skin care routine (powder cleanser, salicylic acid treatment, moisturizer, peel and repair mask).

Personal Day

Elite Daily: What’s been the biggest key to finding a good skin care routine for someone with cystic acne?

Lili Reinhart: It’s been a long journey, but the biggest difference in my skin happened when I realized I needed to look at the ingredients. I started using A content moderator on our Personal Day website now – and I found that these very expensive products are full of shea butter and oils that are not good for your acne.

ED: The great thing about Personal Day is that it’s affordable.

LR: I know my fan base and I know there are a lot of young people who follow me and respect me. It was really important to me to keep each product under $40 while getting all the luxury skincare essentials and acne actives you need in one place.

The biggest thing everyone always tells you is to just wear sunscreen.

ED: Did you receive any skin care or health tips on set?

LR: I hate to say that I haven’t learned much from makeup artists or my friends. Riverdale co-starsbecause most of the time I’m the skincare enthusiast telling them what I’ve learned, but the biggest thing everyone always tells you is to just wear sunscreen.

ED: Walk me through your morning and night skin care routine, along with all the products you use.

LR: I start daily with my Personal Day powder cleanser; I cleanse twice a night with it. Then, if I’m breaking out, which I am right now, I use my salicylic acid acne treatment. If I’m not, I’ll use one of my fancier products. Osmosis Root Factor; It is good at repairing and is a nice serum. I will follow this with my moisturizer.

I exfoliate and do my mask at night. I did this last night because I knew there was an event coming up. I typically use it two or three times a week, depending on how the acne looks.

ED: Do you have a favorite product in the line?

LR: I really love the cleanser because I love the sensory experience of it. For acne enthusiasts, myself included, acne treatment is the one to start with if you want to dip your toe into the brand.

ED: Are there any skin care gadgets or trends from social media that you’ve been inspired to try?

LR: There is one on Instagram kidnapped by Pauly Toning device with LED light for your skin. It’s like a two-in-one that I started using. I love those face contouring devices.

All I see on TikTok is this: double cleaning It happens and I love the double cleanse.

ED: How important is having a good skin care routine for your mental health?

LR: If you had cystic or hormonal acne growing up and are trying to figure out who you are with red bumps on your face, it can definitely warp your reality. For 15% of my middle school and high school experience, I was thinking about my skin.

The amount of time I spend thinking about my skin and acne is truly heartbreaking.

Being in the industry and shooting Riverdale When I was 19 and still a teenager it made it worse. Everyone can understand this today because we are all constantly in front of the cameras through social media.

The amount of time I spend thinking about my skin and acne is truly heartbreaking. When I look back on my life, I hate to think that I didn’t enjoy that activity or didn’t leave the house because I had bad skin. I hope that as we move down this line, more people will be able to talk about their acne, and the greater the safety we can face it naked.

Personal Day

ED: Besides a good skincare routine, what else do you like to do for self-care?

LR: As a girl with chronic fatigue, I needed 12 hours of sleep to function. I’m currently working on my health, so my condition has improved, but I’m always trying to get my sleep.

I’m also trying to use my phone less because I’m struggling with the dopamine hit I get when looking at it. As I walk from one room to another, I really try to catch myself and not look at my phone to fill the 20-second gap.

ED: All through the years. RiverdaleWhat were the methods you used to relax and reduce stress after shooting?

LR: I prioritize sleep above everything else. The moment I entered my apartment in Vancouver, my clothes and makeup were removed and my skin care started. Then I went to bed, plugged in my phone and went to sleep. I do my skin care at lightning speed at night, trying to sleep every minute I can.

On a normal night, I would log and listen to a nice little sound bowl situation with headphones, perhaps while lying in bed. I try not to watch videos before going to bed.

ED: What self-care or wellness advice would you give to your younger self?

LR: Don’t put so much on your face at once. Things that work will take time. When I was little, my mom would take me for facials and I would sit up, look in the mirror, and be upset that my acne was still there. You need to be patient to let things work out.

“Everything gets better” is written on the outside of our packaging. I would tell myself: “Give your skin and yourself grace and patience.”

You need to be patient to let things work out.

ED: Finally, what would your dream ~personal day~ be like?

LR: I would like to wake up late. I would hug my dog and order breakfast all day. I don’t want to make breakfast, I want breakfast brought to me so I get something like chicken apple sausage.

On a personal day, I kind of get active by going to the beach for a few hours or going for a walk with my dog. But I love my couch. I think it will leave a permanent mark of my body on it. You can see in my TikToks that I’m at exactly the same point.

I like my own little cozy space, so I like to sit on my couch and watch movies with my boyfriend or friends. There are two blankets, a pillow, a heating pad and lip balm. It’s just my perfect little space and there’s nothing wrong with that.
