NHRA Finals: Four People Hospitalized After Terrible Plane Crash at Pomona Dragstrip

A horrific plane crash marked the final day of the NHRA Finals at Pomona Dragstrip on Sunday, November 17, 2024. A single-engine Cessna collided with multiple vehicles while attempting to land at Brackett Field Airport, sending four people to the hospital. People with moderate to severe injuries.

“As far as we know, the units were providing life-saving emergency medical services. They were also reducing the potential for possible fires from surrounding vehicles, generators and things of that nature. As far as we know, we have two patients in critical condition and two patients in moderate condition who were transported to local emergency departments.”

“Health Hazards have been initiated. They have contacted the scene. They are also reducing the amount of jet fuel lost in the crash. The NTSB and FAA have also been notified. They may or may not be on scene at this time, and the incident is under investigation as we speak.”

“Our understanding is that the four people on the plane are also four patients who were transported. So there are no injuries on the ground.”

Afterwards, witness Jerry Jordan of Kickin’ The Tires documented the scene, revealing that a pickup truck sustained extensive damage and crews engaged in significant cleanup efforts while preventing liquids from spilling. He posted the following message:
