Inter Milan are ready to welcome winger Carlos Augusto back onto the field as they target the Brazilian star’s return to competitive action following his injury.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport and via FCInterNews.itCarlos Augusto will resume full training with the rest of the squad this week after improving his fitness after the international break.

The former Monza player had been away from the field since suffering a muscle strain in the 1-0 Champions League win over Swiss club Young Boys on October 23.

Carlos Augusto, who has missed matches for more than a month, is aiming to be on the field when Inter visit Hellas Verona in Serie A on Saturday and is expected to be included in the squad even if he does not start the match.

The twice-capped Brazilian has made nine appearances in all competitions this season after leaving Monza on permanent loan in the summer.
