The southern Ukrainian city of Mykolaiv was among the worst hit, with at least two people killed and scores injured, while the Black Sea port of Odesa suffered a citywide power outage.

In the capital Kiev, parts of captured missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles fell in many places, but no injuries were reported.

In its statement, Poland confirmed that the operations of Polish and allied aircraft continue.

“Due to the massive attack by Russia, which has attacked areas in Western Ukraine, among other places, using cruise missiles, ballistic missiles and drones, operations by Polish and allied aircraft have begun,” the statement said.
