A man is facing murder charges following a stabbing at a downtown apartment early Thursday.

Toronto Police officers responded to stabbing call on Fort York Boulevard. and Bathurst St. and the Dan Leckie Way area near Lake Shore Blvd. W., around 12:45 a.m.

Police allege that two men argued in an apartment and stabbed each other.

Paramedics administered life-saving measures to both men and they were transported to the hospital, cops said.

Unfortunately, one person died in hospital due to his injuries. The other man remains in the hospital.

Police identified the victim as Sean Collins, 34, of Toronto.

Brian Kelneric, 33, of Toronto, was arrested and charged with second-degree murder.

Cops said the defendant appeared in court remotely at the Toronto Regional Bail Center on Friday.
