A Kerr County man accused of firing a gun inside a home is facing multiple charges, the sheriff’s office said

KERR COUNTY, Texas – A Kerr County man was arrested for allegedly shooting a gun inside a home earlier this week, according to the sheriff’s office.

Deputies said they responded to a report of shots fired Thursday in the 100 block of Short Line Drive in Center Point.

When KCSO deputies arrived on scene, they learned that 41-year-old Zeferino Arreola Lopez had left the scene in a pickup truck armed with a .30-06 shotgun.

Authorities said they located Lopez’s vehicle traveling along FM 480. Deputies followed Lopez to the 200 block of Tremper Trail, where he was stopped and arrested without incident, according to a news release.

During an interview, deputies said Lopez later admitted to damaging two vehicles before the alleged shooting. No injuries were reported.

Authorities stated that they believe alcohol also played a role in the incident.

The Kerr County Sheriff’s Office said Lopez faces five charges in total: three counts of deadly conduct, one felony count of criminal mischief and one misdemeanor charge of criminal mischief.

The sheriff’s office said no bail has been set for Lopez.
