The fire caused $50,000 in damage to the residence at 13 Pickett Street Extension, according to the report. Arrangements were made for the six adults living there to stay with family and friends.

The Castile Fire Department responded to the scene around 11:40 p.m. and was assisted by fire crews from Silver Springs, Bliss, Nunda, Gainesville, Perry and Pike.

Fire crews were at the scene for 3 hours. No injuries were reported. The teams determined that the cause of the fire was a wood stove.
