PROVIDENCE, RI (WLNE) — A nightclub in Providence has been ordered to close after three people were stabbed overnight.

The Providence Board of Licensing held an emergency hearing this morning and ordered Club Lovera closed for 72 hours.

This stems from an incident where 3 people were stabbed in one night. According to Providence Police Chief Oscar Perez, officers were called to 1266 Broad Street on a report of a stabbing. Police teams arrived at the scene and learned that 3 people had been stabbed. It was announced that the victims were a 27-year-old man who was stabbed in the chest, a 28-year-old man with a stab wound in his shoulder, and a 33-year-old man with a stab wound in his forearm.

The 33-year-old man fled the scene before police arrived, but a short time later hospital police alerted others that he had entered Rhode Island Hospital’s emergency room.

Officers evacuated Club Lovera and located the scene.

None of the people involved are cooperating with investigators.
