Tragedy of Prominent Nigerian Politician Shot in Abeokuta, Details Emerged

The victim, said to be disabled, was killed while riding a motorbike in Abeokuta on Friday night, November 15. Ogun state.

Akinbami, who lost his left leg years ago and uses an iron bar to move, was attacked near the Brewery Bus Stop and Olomoore Junction at around 18.13. His daughter was with him at the time of the attack.

The attackers, suspected to be cultists, were said to be driving a colorful vehicle toyota Hilux with unknown registration number.

Eyewitnesses, including members of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) who were close to the scene, revealed that the attackers followed Akinbami from his home in Olomoore Federal Housing Area before carrying out the attack. They fled the scene after the attack.
