WARREN – After a lengthy deliberation that began Thursday morning and continued Friday, a Trumbull County jury returned a guilty verdict around 3 p.m. in the aggravated murder case of a Warren man.

Zaa Von Hameed, 26, currently faces life in prison with parole eligibility after 20, 25 or 30 years, or life in prison without parole, according to prosecutors. Each sentence carries a mandatory three-year firearms specification.

Hameed was charged with aggravated murder, including a firearm specification, in connection with the May 13 death of 20-year-old Nathaniel Bradley during an altercation at Park Place Tavern.

The sentencing hearing is expected to be held Nov. 26 before Trumbull County Common Pleas Court Judge Andrew D. Logan.

Nathaniel Bradley’s brother, Rajha Bradley, shared his thoughts after the decision was announced.

“This has been a huge stress for my mother and my family. “It feels good to have closure after months of hearings,” he said. he said. “The negotiation process was definitely stressful, but in the end the right decision was made.”

Rajha Bradley described Nathaniel Bradley as follows: “creative” And “Annoying, as siblings should be.” He talked about the impact losing his brother had on their family, especially Nathaniel’s young son. “He was irreplaceable.” he said.

Following the verdict, Trumbull County Chief Deputy Prosecutor Michael Burnett said: “It was a long deliberation. These cases are never easy. We are very pleased with the jury’s verdict. Attorney (Kevin) Trapp and I are grateful for the opportunity to fight for justice on behalf of Nathaniel Bradley and his family.”

Closing arguments were held Thursday morning. The jury deliberated until the afternoon, then adjourned and resumed deliberations at 10 a.m. Friday.

Burnett and Trapp argued that the shooting was intentional, citing forensic evidence that Bradley was shot while lying face down. They also pointed to Hameed’s alleged departure from the scene as an indication of guilt.

Hameed’s defense attorney, Aaron M. Meikle, countered that his client acted in self-defense after being physically attacked. Meikle also criticized the meticulousness of the investigation, emphasizing that no DNA test was conducted on the alleged gun and that no additional weapons were searched at the scene.
