PARKERSBURG — United Bank has appointed a new branch manager at its main Parkersburg location.

As branch manager, Katlyn Holsinger will be responsible for identifying qualified leads for new business relationships and strengthening relationships with existing customers, managing and coaching branch sales staff, serving as the in-branch point of contact for regional sales managers and human resources, and delivering quality. Customer service to all branch customers.

Holsinger began his career with United three years ago as a customer service representative in Parkersburg. From there, she moved to the retail side of the business and served as a sales associate, responsible for processing deposits and withdrawals, processing payments, and talking to customers about products. He was later promoted to the position of universal banker and expanded his banking knowledge, learning to open and maintain accounts, before being promoted to branch manager in Vienna. When the branch manager position opened at United’s Parkersburg Main location in September, Holsinger was selected for the job.

“It’s fitting that United first started here in Parkersburg as a single-office bank, and that I first started my career here at United Bank. “To me, this really feels like a homecoming.” said Holsinger. “I am beyond excited for this new opportunity and look forward to learning and growing with the team as we serve our wonderful customers on Parkersburg Main.”

A native of the Central Ohio Valley, Holsinger grew up in Meigs County, Ohio, and graduated from WVU Parkersburg with a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in management and marketing. He attended the University of Charleston West Virginia School of Banking in May 2024. Holsinger is also active in his community. Volunteers regularly at a variety of local organizations, including downtown cleanup days with Downtown PKB, the After School Program at Jefferson Elementary School, a Sleep Out event for the Children’s Home Society, and the annual Kids Golf Classic hosted by United Bank, which supports Boys & is working. Parkersburg Girls Club. He also serves on the board of directors of the Wood County Society.
