EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) – The Orr Scholarship program held its Finalist Day at Old National Bank in Evansville.

Students graduating from the university had the opportunity to be interviewed by different organizations.

The Orr Scholarship recruits, evaluates and matches college graduates with job opportunities at Indiana businesses.

More than 100 candidates applied to the program for this event, and 26 out of 100 candidates attended the event and had the chance to be interviewed by different institutions.

Orr Scholarship President Steven Emch talked about his goals for the program.

“What they are interviewing for will be great jobs available at these companies for two years and become Orr Fellows. That means we’ll be investing in programming during the evening hours,” Emch said. “To complement their work experience, really accelerate their careers, and connect them to the businesses and the community here as quickly as possible.”

They plan to organize such events for graduating students every year.
