Bill Belichick Drops a Funny Quote to Describe the Heated Steelers-Ravens Rivalry

Bill Belichick knows good competition when he sees it.

The 72-year-old former New England Patriots head coach has crossed paths with many enemies and developed rivalries with teams such as the New York Jets, Indianapolis Colts and Pittsburgh Steelers. It wasn’t like that though more The six-time Super Bowl champions were in the middle of the contest as the Patriots had the overall advantage.

Now a pseudo-media mogul, Belichick is able to bring a new 30,000-foot perspective to the rest of the league’s toughest rivalries, and he has a pretty unique perspective on it.

Himself and confidant Matt Patricia take a look at the Week 11 schedule for the show’s final episode COACH podcastBelichick dropped a classic one-liner to describe the heated nature between the division rival Steelers and the Baltimore Ravens:

“The Ravens and Steelers can’t stand each other. They don’t give Christmas cards.”

He then continued: “These two teams don’t like each other.” “This will be a really interesting game.”

The Steelers (7-2) sit atop the AFC North, just a half-game behind the Ravens (7-3), who travel to Pittsburgh for the contest at Acrisure Stadium. As for Belichick’s analysis of the game itself? He kept it plain and simple:

“It’s a little bit of power on power,” Belichick explained. “When you look at Pittsburgh’s defense and Baltimore’s offense… (Lamar) Jackson’s Jackson. Pittsburgh’s Pittsburgh’s defense. (Mike) Tomlin’s Tomlin. There’s a lot of familiarity and a lot of antipathy there.” “There is.”

As for Belichick himself? He is 9-5 against the Ravens and 14-4 against the Steelers in his Patriots coaching career, outscoring both of those teams.
