At least three workers were killed and three others injured when a silo storing maize collapsed at an ethanol manufacturing plant at Shendre MIDC in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar on Friday, officials said.

He added that the bodies of three workers were recovered and one worker was missing.

“A silo tank with a diameter of 17.17 meters and a height of 21.60 meters collapsed at Radico NV distilleries at around 14.20. Corn stored at a capacity of 3,000 tons fell, causing the death of three workers and injuring three others. One person is missing. “Search and rescue efforts continue in the region,” he said.

The official stated that the dead were Kisan Hirde (50), Vijay Gawali (40) and Dattatray Borde (40).
