WESTFIELD – After various law enforcement officials arrested a man wanted on several outstanding fugitive warrants at an apartment on East Bartlett Street, they found three dogs suffering from neglect, three guns and a quantity of cocaine, according to court records.

Pedro J. Deleon Jr., 31, of Springfield, was discovered hiding under a bed after authorities executed a search warrant at his East Bartlett Street apartment, according to court documents.

When officers from four federal, state and local law enforcement agencies arrived at the apartment on Oct. 22 to serve an arrest warrant on Deleon, they were greeted at the door by a woman who said she wasn’t there and was generally uncooperative. According to a report filed in court by a State Police trooper who participated in the arrest.
