Three people were injured in a fire at an apartment building on Ohio Street in West Garfield Park, Chicago police said

CHICAGO (Wales) — Three people were injured, one critically, in a fire at a West Side apartment building Thursday night, Chicago police said.

Police responded to the fire and located CFD at the scene in the 4700 block of West Ohio Street at 11:32 p.m.

In the video taken from the scene, heavy smoke and flames were seen coming out of the apartment. Firefighters were seen breaking the windows of the building on the stairs.

The rear of the building also appears to be heavily damaged.

A 33-year-old man suffered burns to his arms and face and was transported to Loyola University Medical Center in critical condition, police said.

Police said an 18-year-old man and a 64-year-old woman suffered smoke inhalation and were listed in serious condition at Mt. He was transferred to Sinai Hospital, he said.

The cause of the fire is being investigated.
