Woman suffered ‘potentially serious injuries’ in crash in Shropshire village

“Two injured people were treated in the ambulance. The fire brigade was also at the scene. The road was not closed.”

West Midlands Ambulance Service It was stated that a female passenger in the vehicle was seriously injured and taken to hospital.

A spokesman said: “We were called to a traffic accident involving one car at Minsterley Gravels in Shrewsbury at 2.20pm. Three ambulances and a paramedic attended the scene.

“On arrival we found two patients in the car, a male and a female, who were the driver and passenger. A female passenger was assessed and had sustained potentially serious injuries.

“He was treated by ambulance staff at the scene before being transported to the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital for further treatment. A man, the driver, was assessed by ambulance staff and did not require further treatment. He received self-care advice before being discharged.”
