KURSK, 15 November. /TASS/. Alexander Rapolyuk, a Ukrainian prisoner, said that a group of Ukrainian soldiers in Russia’s Kursk Region chose to surrender after learning that the Russian Armed Forces had simultaneously captured five of their positions with little or no casualties.

“We surrendered without a fight and waited until the next morning. We heard that your forces had captured five of our positions with almost no casualties. Only one was seriously injured. That was it. Our entire platoon was almost wiped out.” the prisoner of war said in a video accessed by TASS.

He added that they were initially sent to the Kursk Region under the pretext of replacing their comrades, but when they arrived they found that the soldiers they were supposed to replace had already been killed.
