The Patriots’ practice report showed Barmore was a limited participant in Thursday’s practice.

New England returned Barmore to practice, opening a 21-day period during which the Patriots could return Barmore to their active roster. Otherwise, he will spend the season in NFI.

Barmore joins New England Alabama2020 undefeated CFP national championship team in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft. Barmore, who played in every game as a rookie, played in 10 games in 2022 due to injuries.

In 2023, Barmore set career highs with 64 tackles, 8.5 sacks, 13 tackles for loss, 16 quarterback hits, six pass breakups and one forced fumble.
