President-elect Donald Trump announced Thursday that he has been selected for top posts at the Justice Department to assist Attorney General nominee Matt Gaetz.

To serve as deputy attorney general, Trump touched Todd Blanchecalled him “an excellent lawyer who will be a very important leader at the Department of Justice, fixing the Justice System that has been broken for too long.”

Blanche defended Trump during Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s hush money trial.

He also appointed Emil Bove to serve as acting deputy attorney general during the confirmation process and as principal deputy attorney general on a permanent basis.

“Emil prosecuted terrorists and international drug traffickers as Chief of the National Security Unit for the Southern District of the United States Attorney’s Office in New York, clerked for two Federal Judges, and graduated with honors from Georgetown University Law Center,” Trump said. he said. “Emil will make us proud with his words ‘Make America Great Again’.”

The two will likely work under former Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., who Trump named as his AG pick this week.
