Sheriff’s officials said that the prisoner, whose name has not yet been disclosed, was found unresponsive with a rope around his neck in a single cell at around 16.50 on Wednesday, November 13.

Prison staff and medical staff tried to take life-saving measures, but it was announced that the prisoner died approximately 40 minutes later.

The inmate was booked into jail on Tuesday, Nov. 8, on charges including assault with a deadly weapon, fleeing a peace officer and driving under the influence of drugs, sheriff’s officials said.
