RUNNEMEDE, NJ (WPVI) — More than a dozen people were injured when a bus carrying military personnel collided with a tractor trailer on the New Jersey Turnpike in Runnemede, Camden County.

The crash happened around 1 p.m. Wednesday in the northbound lanes of the highway, just south of Interchange 3.

The bus appears to have been hit from behind by a tractor trailer.

Chopper 6’s video shows many police, firefighters and paramedics at the scene.

State police said 13 people were injured, including a truck driver and 12 people on the bus that included military personnel.

No statement was made about the conditions of the injured.

The military personnel carried on the bus come from Maryland.

The cause of this accident is not yet known.
