BEDFORD COUNTY, Va. (WDBJ) – A man is dead following a fatal crash in Bedford County on Wednesday, according to Virginia State Police.

Police said officers received reports of a single-vehicle crash on Bold Branch Road, located three-quarters of a mile south of Blue Sky Drive, at 9 p.m.

According to police, a 1991 Chevrolet C-15 was traveling southbound when it ran off the right side of the road and struck a tree.

The driver of the vehicle, 30-year-old Tyrin Deshane Martin, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Police added that he was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.

The investigation into the accident continues.
