CHICAGO – 16-year-old boy shot in his home Chicago’s West Side Tuesday night.

At approximately 10:42 p.m., police responded to a report of a person shot in the 600 block of North Lorel Boulevard. Police arrived at the scene and found the young man shot in the hip inside the house.

The child was in good condition and was taken to a nearby hospital.

Authorities determined that the gunshot came from the window before hitting the victim.

There is no one in custody and Fourth Precinct detectives are investigating the incident.
