Sara Sharif’s father admitted fatally beating his daughter with a cricket bat and metal pole at the Old Bailey, saying he took “full responsibility” for his daughter’s death.

In a “dramatic confession” he said: IndependentUrfan Sharif changed his claim in previous hearings that Sara’s husband, Beinash Batool, caused the injuries while he was working as a taxi driver. The 10-year-old boy was found dead with multiple traumatic injuries “including human bite marks and iron burns” at the family home in Woking, Surrey, last August.
