BOSTON (WHDH) – Police are investigating a shooting that occurred Thursday morning on the Cummins Expressway in Mattapan.

Authorities confirmed they responded to the shot spotter activation just before 2 a.m.

“Upon arrival, officers found a 19-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound,” Boston police said in a statement. “He was transported to a local hospital by Boston EMS for non-life-threatening injuries and was reported to be in stable condition.”

It was seen that the window of a house was broken.

A ballistics team was also assigned to assist in the investigation.
