LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Las Vegas Metro Police are investigating a fatal motorcycle crash in the northwest valley.

Officers responded to the crash near Rainbow and Cheyenne just before 6 p.m.

According to police, the motorcyclist was traveling with a passenger. Both individuals were taken out.

Police announced that the driver died at the scene. The slightly injured passenger was taken to hospital.

Roads are closed in both directions from Peak Dr. south of Cheyenne to Light Breeze Dr.

Authorities said a third vehicle was involved in the incident. The drivers of the two cars involved in the incident remained at the scene. Police said no injury was suspected.

LVMPD is asking drivers to be careful and reduce their speed on roadways ahead of the holiday season.

“This is another life that won’t be at the dinner table this holiday season,” Polis said.
