Police said the incident happened in the area of ​​Blue Ridge Boulevard and 103rd Terrace just before 7 p.m.

The Kansas City Missouri Police Department said a preliminary investigation revealed a pedestrian was crossing Blue Ridge Boulevard from west to east in the middle of the southbound lanes when he was struck by at least one vehicle.

“The unknown vehicle(s) left the scene of the accident without stopping and the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene,” police said in a statement Wednesday night. he said.
