BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) – We’re here for you as we try to get you answers about the future of the Oak Mountain Amphitheater.

Just yesterday, November 12, a Live Nation representative said that Oak Mountain Amphitheater has had a great 38-year run and that they are now turning their attention to Coca-Cola Amphitheater Birmingham.. We’re trying to see what this means for Pelham.

Live Nation did not offer any clarification on this comment. Our team has reached out to multiple representatives to respond over the past 24 hours, but right now the future of this beloved venue is still very much a mystery.

We also asked elected leaders in Pelham about the situation. A city spokesperson said questions about the future of the venues should be directed to Live Nation. We also asked if Live Nation had contacted the city to share its intentions with the property.

“Live Nation has expressed interest in working with the city during the transition. “That’s all we’ve been told up to this point,” Pelham Communications Manager Ainsley Allison said.

Neighbors who work in the area say the amphitheater brings both visitors and money to Pelham, but they say they are disappointed by the lack of transparency.

“The uncertainty and unknown of the future is frustrating because the amphitheater has been around for 38 years. At 39 years old, I don’t remember a time when the Oak Mountain Amphitheater didn’t exist,” said Lee Pilleteri, General Manager of Oak Mountain Brewing Company Tap Room.
