Amazon Haul will compete with Shein and Temu: What you need to know

Amazon has launched a new low-cost online store offering electronics, clothing and other items for under $20.

The Amazon Haul store will promote products priced under $10 and offer free delivery on orders over $25, the Seattle-based online giant said in a company blog post.

Amazon Haul is available only on its shopping app and mobile website, offering unbranded items like a phone case and hairbrush selling for $2.99 ​​and a sleeveless dress selling for $14.99.

The company is trying to promote its message of value with banners on its page advertising “crazy low prices” and activewear that “won’t break the bank.”

According to the Associated Press, based on documents the company provided to sellers, Amazon will ship products to customers in the United States from a warehouse it operates in China. Amazon Haul orders can arrive within one to two weeks.

Amazon Haul products are similar to those found on China-based e-commerce sites Shein and Temu, which have grown in popularity over the past few years.

In a statement obtained by the AP from Amazon, Dharmesh Mehta, vice president of Amazon’s Worldwide Affiliate Services, said: “Finding great products at rock-bottom prices is important to customers, and we continue to explore ways we can work with our affiliates to offer products at ultra-low prices.” .”

“It is early days for this experience, and we will continue to listen to our customers as we develop and expand the experience in the coming weeks and months,” Mehta added.
